School Overview Bishop’s Senior School Mukono is a Church of Uganda founded Government Aided Mixed Day and Boarding Secondary School located in the heart of Mukono Municipality. We provide quality holistic education that balances academic excellence with moral and spiritual formation.

Our History Bishop’s Senior School Mukono forms part of the historic Bishop’s Schools established by the Church Missionary Society in 1910. It began as a Teacher Training Centre and later expanded into nursery and primary education.

In 1958, under the leadership of pioneer Head Teacher Mr. A.K. Makumbi, the Church of Uganda launched two Senior classes to address the growing need for accessible secondary education. This marked the official birth of the Senior School. Today, the school has grown into one of Uganda’s renowned centres of academic excellence, having produced tens of thousands of alumni who continue to make significant contributions in various fields across the country and beyond.

Our Vision To be a centre of holistic education in Uganda.

Our Mission To produce God-fearing young men and women who are morally upright and academically sound with skills and knowledge to contribute to national development.
